The ADDI Program, signed into law on December 16, 2003, established a separate formula under the HOME Program by which HUD allocated funds to states and to participating jurisdictions already administering the HOME Program.
The purpose of ADDI is to make downpayment assistance to low-income families who are first-time homebuyers for the purchase of single family housing that will serve as the family’s principal residence.
Since the ADDI Program is a subset of the HOME Program, the allocation received by HUD is distributed to eligible families throughout Butler County and the City of Middletown, exclusive of the city of Hamilton. Annually, the Butler County / City of Middletown HOME Consortium receives between $18,000 and $65,000. To find out more about this program, please link to Programs.
